The Sky

"The Sky"

Obscuring heights of yawning blue
a dreary grey sky's vault doth guard;
then breaks at 'Eve in legion'd hue
an opus of Creation's Bard.

At dusk the firmament above
ignites, His Godhead to profess;
to herald all, who draw life's breath
His eternal Righteousness.

Until one marks He's 'Throne'd above
and o'er the universe doth reign;
one cannot see salvation's need
brought upon by Adam's Bane.

So "look to me and be ye saved,
all ye ends of earth;"
For by His blood thy life is gained
and ransom'd from Sin's Dearth.
